The game become a source of inspiration for many other successful titles thanks to its innovative use of physics and 3D graphics. Originally released back in 1994, System Shock is a cult immersive-sim first-person survival experience with horror elements. Ports to consoles like the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X are also planned in the future along with versions for Linux and MacOS. The demo takes around 15 minutes to complete and allows you to test some gameplay mechanics. Pre-orders for the System Shock remake are currently priced at 39.99 for its release on the PC on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store. Before its release on PC, Nightdive Studios launched a free demo of the game on Steam, which is still playable, so in case you have any doubts about making a purchase, you can play it a bit before buying it. As revealed previously, System Shock will also be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but its release date for those consoles is yet to be announced.
